Capturing the Devil by Kerri Maniscalco

Rating: 2 out of 5.

I was so wholly disappointed by this book. I read the first two and loved them so much that I couldn’t wait to read the next two. The third one was alright, but this one was downright a disappointment to me. After thinking about it, I had to lower my stars to two.

Don’t get me wrong, it was well written, I just didn’t enjoy it. *****Spoiler***** Thomas was annoying as all else and I couldn’t stand him fawning over Audrey Rose at every other sentence. Like my heavens, you’re in love, everyone gets it.  I wasn’t a huge fan of the main villain either. I’m actually a bit surprised he wasn’t caught by someone sooner. Seriously… who marries a victim and then offs her and her sister. The husband is always the main suspect. And to think he’d done it more than once. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️  *****Spoiler Over*****

But, I’m just ranting at this point. I still like Kerri Maniacalci’s writing, she’s an incredibly talented author, I just couldn’t get into this one. So I can’t recommend this. The first two, however, are great!! And you should check out the first of her new YA series, Kingdom of the Wicked … soooo good!!!
