This book!!! I am a long time fan of the movie. If you haven’t seen it, stop what you’re doing and view it immediately because it’s awesome. Anyway, this is different enough from the movie that I’m actually glad I watched the movie first. It spoiled none of my enjoyment of the book whereas I believe that if I had read the book first, it might have tainted my viewing of the movie.

The imagery in this fairly short read is just great! There’s enough description for me to imagine each scene and let my imagination fill in the rest. Sophie is a hoot and I kind of want her to stump around my house! Howl is practically insufferable and yet I adore him despite his obnoxiousness. Michael and even Sophie’s sisters are much more fleshed out in the book making them more love able as well. I also really enjoyed getting more of an explanation as to what was happening to Sophie and Howl. It’s a little difficult to discern their predicaments in the movie.

Point is, I love the movie and the book! Each are great in different ways and I’m looking forward to continuing this series.
