So I recently had a terrible bout of depression, which led to not reading or writing. Like at all. But that also means that now that I’m coming out of it, I’m starting to do both again. January has been a bit of a wash, but I plan on posting much more often, including the reviews I’ve missed posting and also for the few books that I’ve read this month so far.
This includes, The Raybearer, Kingdom of the Wicked, The Initial Insult, Locke & Key #2, Capturing the Devil, The Twelve Days of Book-Club-Mas, Lips Touch: Three Times, The Claiming, After All I’ve Done, Cirque Du Freak: A Living Nightmare, and The Help.
I can say that the few books I’ve read lately have mostly been audiobooks because being sad depletes you of enough energy to anything other than sit and listen. A few of those books were great and a couple were definitely underwhelming. I can’t wait to share them with you!!!
I will also now be doing almost all advanced readers copies for a while. I am sorely behind and need to catch up. Those ARCs include Fae Child, The Ruthless, The Holiday Treatment, Restricted, The Gatekeeper of Pericael, Catch Lili Too, The Friars Lantern, The Last Feast, and Amara. That’s not necessarily the order I’ll read them, but those are what I need to read stat!! Lol.. if anyone is actually looking at my posts, hang in there… soon there will be a lot of stuff on this blog!!!
In other news, I hope anyone going through depression can have the strength to get help and move forward. It’s much harder to do than it seems. So I wish you all well, and good luck for 2021!!!
