This is definitely my favorite of the series!!! I luckily snagged the box set and reading it on solid paper rather than on my tablet was so much better!!! I’m just blown away by this series!!!
The characters were all so great and very human. People sometimes do dumb things, they aren’t always the best version of themselves, and it’s why I took to these characters. Kinsey is my favorite because she was always willing to try something new. Bode is another favorite of mine because he was adorable and sooo very astute in his observations of his surroundings. Kids can be like that sometimes.
The drawings were absolutely outstanding!!! Seriously, so dark and detailed and beautiful. The setting really brought to life this series. I cannot rave about it enough to do it justice. I am surprised that I only found out about this because of Netflix picking it up. And don’t get me wrong, the tv series was really good too, but the graphic novels are everything. Have I mentioned that this gets all of the stars!!!!
I totally recommend this to graphic novel lovers, those who are looking for something different and amazing, and those who enjoy the darker side of life sometimes. This just made my brain explode. But watch out for this one. I did bawl my flipping eyes out!!! It was just that good. So gooo!!!! Start reading!!!!
