I was eager to read the conclusion to this series and I wasn’t disappointed! Kendra continues on as a newly minted witch, a darned good one at that! And finds out she still has some serious saving to do. I really enjoyed the action as she figures out things aren’t as they seem.
Gwydion may have survived the last book, The Claiming, but not in the way she had thought. I won’t get too into the plot because I don’t want to spoil it. But, I’ll say that if you adored Rory, Gwydion, and Kendra from the previous installation, you’re bound to be invested here too. Things happen very quickly and I really enjoyed the writing as I did in the other books as well.
Definitely don’t pick this up unless you’ve read at least The Claiming. I do recommend all three though! It’s somewhat spooky, but not as creepy as the last one. This will be for those invested in the series and this series is great for lovers of witches and haunted stories. Not due to ghosts, but because it’ll leave you with that haunted feeling.
Thanks so much to BookSirens and Glenn Williams for the opportunity to read this for my honest and unbiased opinion.
