The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I absolutely loved this!!! There was adventure, heartbreak, love, and so much more!!! Mina is our main character who isn’t even supposed to be the main sacrifice of the story, but she was phenomenal. Her heart and strength carried the story and I was so invested in her journey. Shin, Namgi, and Kirin were also just amazing and I was practically biting at the bit to see what was to happen to them.

And the plot!!! It was so beautifully written that it really flowed quickly for me. I only put it down because I was so tired I could hardly keep my eyes open. Otherwise, I would have just read this in one sitting. Mina jumps into the sea to save her brother from heartache and more, and from there, the book just took off!! One thing happens after another and you are pulled by the beauty that is this story.

I highly recommend this to those who love epic retellings and for those who enjoy YA novels that have romance, exciting plots, and very interesting characters. Seriously, if you haven’t read this yet, do yourself a favor and do that now.
